Blogging Through A Harper Nap

Well, today is another HOT one.  As I sit here I can hear Harper grunting and cooing in her bed through the monitor... which she is supposed to be napping.... and by the sounds of it, its NOT working out too well.  Ive got a load of clothes in the dryer and I just finished up eating some kind of packaged brownie thing... which is a good idea while eating it and right after your'e done... it turned into a bad one.
I was thinking that while typing I would get this great topic for my blog today... but nothing has hit me so far.
I better go see if I can get Harper to think sleepy thoughts and will come back when Ive got an idea that she might be napping for some time and I can think...

Ok, Im back.. baby asleep...I think.

Now, lets see... well, Ive started a mental list of things that change once you are a new mother.  Here are a few:
1.  You will spend about 40 % of your waking and also non-waking hours staring at and listening to a baby monitor.
2.  You will forget the last time you brushed your teeth or had a shower.
3.  All your time is focused around a 3 hour loop... feed baby, burp baby, baby awake time, nap time... and then it starts all over again.
4.  Small tasks in life become great accomplishments such as getting a load of laundry done or sweeping the floor... and thats about ALL you get done for the day.
5.  Getting out of the house is going to the mailbox each day.

.  ...oh dear, Harper is awake.. pacie out.... yes, monitor is setting right in front of the computer... ha! Told ya... be right back..................
Ok, pacie in, eyes closed... now, let see if I can finish this....

6.  Pacifiers are your best friends.  (Very appropriate since I just now had to utilize one)
7.  You will never get fully rested ... getting more than 3 hours at a time is pure bliss!
8.  If you are nursing you will fill like a dairy cow...
9.  Mental and emotional breakdowns are common... if you DONT have any, then maybe youve got problems!
10.  Life as you know it will NEVER be the same but each time you look at your sweet little darling baby its all ok and you know that this new life is such a blessing from God.
No, this is NOT a picture that I took while typing this blog... just thought I would put one in here where she IS sleeping ;)

Okay, so I mis-read #7 at first, and thought you said, 'you will never get fully dressed.' lol Well, I guess that one's kind of true too, for me, anyways!

Love the blog; can't wait to read more.

And you've got one sweet little cutie on your hands!

Lydia, I'm pumped that I found out you have a blog through Megon's page! I can't wait to read it all the time. I've already added you to my favorites :) It's so crazy that Harper is already 6+ weeks.
Hope you get some rest
