I find that most of my days are spent chatting with an almost 2 yr old. I keep telling my husband to PLEASE talk to me over dinner about SOMETHING, I dont care what, but something since all my day is filled with answering questions, giving commands and instructions, singing silly songs, and reading books on a toddler level....ha!
So, I thought Id type out some of these interesting convos between my daughter and I.
Harper: "Where's Daddy?"
Me: "He's at work."
Harper: "Where's Daddy?"
Me: "Harper, I just told you, where do you think he is?"
Harper: "Playing ball?"
Ahhhhhhhhhhh! (Me screaming mentally!)
I turned on the mixer yesterday to mix up some cake batter.
Harper walks in and says, "Ambulance?!"
Me: "Harper, look a school bus!"
Harper: "Is it a mommy bus? A baby bus?"
Me: "I dont know"
Harper: "Its a daddy bus."
Me: "Harper, what are you doing?" (me yelling it questioningly from the other room)
Harper: "Im good."
Harper: "Hey, ______(put in ANYTHING...i.e., moon, Zoe' our dog, stuff animals), how you doing today?"
Situation: trying to get Harper to bed at night... and it not going very well...
Me: "Ok, Harper, time to lay down to go to sleep."
Harper: "Mommy, hug?"
Me: "Ok" picking her up and giving her a hug.
Harper: "Poo Poo?" (which means she just wants to get up and play around on the potty)
Me: "No, you dont have to go poo poo."
I start walking towards the door....
Harper: "Hey baby!"
Me: "Hey baby, good night!!!" I sigh and exit, hopefully for good. ;)
